{VFC Celebrates 2009 Annual Distributionge Title}se

“Voices For Charity” held its annual meeting and reception for their benefiting charities on December 7, 2009 at the Stanton Church, Stanton, NJ. The organization donated $6,000 to the six charities it currently supports, which brings its total donations to over $90,000 distributed since the group was founded in 1996.

The evening reception included a short musical program with singers Donna Herb and Elaine Powers accompanied by Ann Sauerland. As each charity received their donation check, the representative gave a brief overview of their charities' services, and how the funds would be used. This year’s benefiting charities and their representatives were: Peggy Hylan - Briteside Adult Day Centers, Andrea Romano – Hunterdon County Teen Arts, Ann Davis - Good News Home for Women, Maggie D'Aversa - Interfaith Hospitality Network, Monica Strenk - Meals on Wheels, and Andrea Lovas - SAFE in Hunterdon. VFC board members attending included: Donna Herb - Chairman, Ann Sauerland – Vice-Chairman, Marlyn Reuter – Secretary, John Benedik – Treasurer, Marian Sulenski – Charities Coordinator and Elaine Powers – Director of Development.

Voices For Charity is dedicated to raising awareness and supporting local area charities. Donations are raised through concerts, recordings, community contributions, and other fund-raising events. Our next concert is a benefit concert performed by the Hunterdon Youth Choir in March. Voices For Charity also has an annual Spring variety concert the first Sunday in June at 3:30pm at the Stanton Church in Stanton, NJ.
